Event Type:

Perhaps you've heard of Nixie Tubes?
Seen the Spectrum Analyzer at the Maker Faire Tokyo 2012?
Akafugu, a hardware designer based here in Japan, makes clock sets that display the time on nixie tubes. They're produced in kits and are intended for a beginner or intermediate maker to put together in an afternoon. Tokyo Hackerspace is proud to present a workshop for soldering together your own handsome kit!
All materials for the kit are provided, and tools to put it together are available at Tokyo Hackerspace. If you want to extend your kit (say, adding a custom alarm or making the clock blink), you will need an FTDI adaptor and a computer to reprogram the onboard microcontroller.
The clock kit details can be seen at
This class price includes Y15,000 for the kit.
