Come out and help us get plants going.
We have LOADS of pots for planting. Just need soil.
Also, I have a huge assortment of seeds we can try out.
Lets get the green growing!!!

Tokyo HackerSpace's first GreenHackers meeting was Saturday!
As it turns out, it was Ben, Dr.J and I. About half way through, one of Ben's class mates showed up.
She knows a lot about gardening and such. Hopefully she'll be back next month (and perhaps a Tuesday night or two before then?)
Originally we planned on discussing energy usage as well as planning for the future of the group.
But it all started with what was intended to be a one hour back garden work party.
GreenHackers is a subgroup of THS members, who have a particular interest in the following:
* Gardening
* Recycling
* Hacking reusable items
* Hacking more efficient energy and resource usage
Projects include Windowfarming, current monitoring, winter insulation, and solar energy systems.

1 - 2 PM: Garden Time
2 - 5 PM: Meeting
In January, Akiba and MRE spoke a bit about utilizing Arduino to build simple sensor measurement tools, such at temperature probes. This month, MRE returns with a demo of how to send your data to an online aggregator, such as Pachube. He will also give you an introduction to various sensor options.
We will also likely discuss more about Swaziland.

Background:
If you're reading this, you are probably already convinced that it would be a good thing to make your own lifestyle more sustainable.
The problem is that in order to make concrete steps toward a more sustainable lifestyle you need to:
-know what to do
-know how to do it
-do it
-keep it up
-do more
And anywhere along that way, it's really easy to get derailed and stop.
