What is This Week in Startups?
This meetup is part of the This Week in Startups network of startup events, with an angel-investor network, started by Jason Calacanis http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jason_Calacanis.
What happens at the meetup?
Jason: "At the local events, startups give short three minute pitches. The best pitch as voted by the local chapter then gets to pitch live on This Week in Startups and is rebroadcast to the entire world! It really is an insane thing to watch."

Schedule:
Wednesday September 22
10:00am: Meet and watch 3-minute pitches from local web/mobile entrepreneurs. The group votes for the best person to pitch to Jason and the global meetup.
12:00noon: Join the global meetup by webcam. If Tokyo is chosen, our winner will do a 1 minute pitch.
2:00 (14:00): Event ends (probably)
Why is the Tokyo Meetup During the Day?
Usually it's hard for Japan to join the global meetup because the monthly meetup has been focused on North America. But, for this one, the timing is Asia-focused, so if you can take most of the day off on September 22, you can make it.
For extra credit
Besides voting on the presentations, the other thing I'd like to do for those who are interested is to have the audience rate each presentation (on paper). You'll get your ratings at the end of the event, so you can see how you can improve.
