Meetings in June will be members only, due to our need to prepare for a move. We will not be running the usual meeting. Do not come expecting to present your project or to have an open discussion. Tonight we will pack and trash the storage room. Please be sure to take your stuff home. The storage room can only support 1-2 people at a time. So, First, members will remove their member boxes, check them, and stack them in the kitchen. Next, other items in the room will be taken to the living room, where we will sort and pack them. All packed boxes that will GO TO THE NEW PLACE will go in the corner near the back door. All items to be trashed, picked through by members or donated will be boxed and placed near the front of the living room. This includes items under the stairs. Once the shelves are empty, they will be disassembled. and prepared for the move. If possible, I may ask Lauren and Todd about moving the shelves over early and setting them up, so that when we move in, we can put stuff right on the shelf. Once the storage room is cleared, we can move packed and ready boxes in there, such that everything in the storage room goes to the new place. I know it sounds strange to pull the racks out, only to fill the room with boxes (Hey, we can put the boxes on the racks!) but it serves a few purposes: 1: We know the room is completely 'processed' and all the junk and trash is gone 2: Getting the racks out is important, as they should be the FIRST things moved to the new space (either before the big truck, or as the last thing packed, and thus first thing unpacked from the big truck). 3: No longer concerned with making all of the room accessible, we will actually maximize the holding space in the room. We dont care about "foot room" and can stack boxes directly on each other (to an extent based on weight). In other words, we will stuff far more boxes into the room than if the shelves were in place.
